  1. Debra: I think this was a good lesson (though I had discovered it for myself . Just one thing you might want to change (fix). The parenthetical phrase "This feature is not available in 365" should probably be moved after the phrase "to rearrange icons in [an] order that better suits you". I was a bit confused by what 365 no longer had until I went into Word itself and tried to do what you were describing; then I figured it out. Just a thought. Also, I think you have an extra "to" in the same line that I have already quoted to you.

    Thanks, Debra!

  2. Deborah, when I add functions to my Quick Access site, I do not get the little icons you show. I get these round blue balls.

I tried to past a snip it of the quick access bar to show you, but it did not paste. They also show up as blue solid color balls in the Word Options in the right hand column.

I tried to fined Insert field on the commands in the left column, as I use that often, but it only had "Insert File Path, Insert File Name, Insert Form FIeld."

If you can advise on this that would be great. I am using MIcrosoft Word 365 downloaded on my laptop. Thank you.

    1. Either (a) Word is not installed properly or (b) if your IT group is managing your Office installation, they may have some restrictions on what you can do. For an example of the latter, I cannot add macros to my Quick Access Toolbar at work, but I can at home. I suspect it’s (a).

See https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/dots-instead-of-icons-on-quick-access-toolbar/7146b1d2-d721-4ecc-a1b0-2d50ed070f1a for a possible fix.
